When Rich began teaching third grade in 1971 at Sandy Plains Elementary school
in the Baltimore County Public Schools, MD, he started a Christmas tradition that
continues to this day. He has worn one of two "Christmas" outfits to school (and now to the office)
on the last day prior to the school system's winter break, or the day of the office party.
The two photos below are the "odd year outfit." The "even year outfit" is a green top with red pants.
